Is my Laurel Oak healthy?
Laurel Oaks are susceptible to many issues but the most common is old age. According to the University of Florida extension service Laurel Oaks have a lifespan of 50-70 years. Many of the Laurels here in the bay area are approaching that age and are beginning to rot. Once they rot on the inside, they become a hazard to the surrounding area. If you suspect your Laurel Oak may have problems, give us a call and we can assess it for you.
Is it important for my Tree Service provider to be insured?
Absolutely, if your tree guy is uninsured and damages your neighbors property, you can be held responsible. Also, if he does not have workers comp and he brings a helper on your property and they get hurt, they can sue you as well. Make sure that whoever you hire is covered and they should be able to show you proof.
What if I notice a crack in my tree?
If you notice a new crack in your tree you should call a tree service immediately. Make sure you let them know that it is a new crack. Take some pictures, in today’s day most of us can accept pictures on our phone and quickly decide if this rises to the level of an emergency or not. If it does, we at Acorn Tree Service will do our best to prioritize you and keep you and your family safe.
Does tree removal tear up my yard?
The short answer is sometimes. Some tree work can be performed with minimal if any impact. Some larger operations will make more of a mess. We at Acorn Tree Service will do our best to explain and point out the possible areas of impact and what to expect. We do our very best to minimize it but in some situations, making the tree safe is more important than worrying about a couple plants or some grass that can be replaced.
What areas do you serve?
We serve all of Pinellas county including Largo, Seminole, Clearwater, Indian Rocks, Belleair Beach, Belleair, Redington, St. Petersburg and many others. Give us a call and we can discuss your location and your project.
Do you offer senior or military discounts?
We at Acorn Tree Service believe in giving everyone a fair honest price. A lot of tree companies offer a discount but they just pad the bid up first and then claim they are giving a discount, we prefer to give everyone the best deal possible.
Are you the cheapest tree service in town?
Hopefully not. Usually the “cheapest tree service in town” is usually not the most reliable or even qualified. As a reputable tree service we have well paid employees, workers comp insurance, and plenty of liability insurance to cover any mishaps that could occur. Also, with a larger crew and more equipment, we are likely to get in and out of your property faster. You will find that some of the less reputable companies will spend 3 days at your house for a medium sized job, that may be all right with some people but most don’t want new tenants at their house for a simple tree job.
